Listing the bars of Pattaya

The following reviews are those that I come across on the web, in guide books, from contributors and of course from my own visits. Reviewers may be unreasonably harsh and bar owners may present a rosy picture of their bars...so don't take everything at face value...go and see for yourself.

Angels Place

Soi Khao Noi Took over from Bamboo Bar in 2015. Closed by August 2017

News from Dick Farang, August 2017: Closed

On Soi Khao Noi the gate at Angels Place remains closed and there is a big sign now: PRIVATE CLUB/MEMBERS ONLY, whatever that may mean.

Review from Dick Farang, April 2015: As in Bikers Place

At the previous location of Bamboo Bar on Soi Khao Noi Angels Place has opened.

It has become more a kind of a bikers' place.

In the open-air bar the sofas near the street have been replaced with high tables and bar stools and everything still smelled the fresh paint.

There were a cashier who was not available and a fatty and two oldies who used to work at Bamboo Bar before. At the rear of the complex is still a (mostly empty) beer garden.

Barfine (room included) still 300 baht.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht from 70 baht before.

Aqua Deymie

Soi Neun Pleub Wan
Soi Banlang Soi 12 (right fork of Soi Nern Plab Wahn Soi 47)

From 1pm

Another bar established by the people that brought you the noted Dao Bar. Complete with swimming pool. The pool is overlooked so maybe not for the naughty stuff. Listing confirmed in February 2024.

Review from Dick Farang, April 2017: Water adverse

Not much has changed at Aqua Deymie on Soi Nern Plab Wahn Soi 47/Soi Banlang Soi 12.

The outdoor swimming pool was still deserted and probably only suited as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Everybody was locked up in the air-conditioned darkness.

The females were unremarkable at best and only interested in lady drinks. Their attitude was worse than that of state officials.

I was reluctantly told that the ST bar fine (room included) was 350 baht with 1,000 baht for the provider.

Lady drinks 119 baht (standard) and 135 baht (beer).

They still sell imported (mostly Belgian) beers at 240-260 baht. Bottled Heineken 95 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, April 2014: Water adverse

Yesterday I visited Aqua Deymie.

As usual most girls (some young spinners there) were sitting inside and not keen on using the outdoor swimming pool.

At the back are several ST rooms.

Bottled Heineken 85 baht.

Lady drink (also bottled beer) 120 baht.

ST bar fine (including room) 300 baht,

Belgian beers (Kwak, Orval, Kasteel, etc.) over 200 baht.

Exact location of Aqua Deymie is Soi Banlang Soi 12 (right fork of Soi Nern Plab Wahn Soi 47).

Note from Dick Farang, April 2014: Belgian beer

The next best selection of Belgian beers after Mai Lu Si in Soi Buakhao is at Aqua Deymie on the Dark Side, which has a fridge with a transparent door for them.

Aqua Deymie seems to be owned by a French language Belgian, Alan. There are family connections to Blu Cat Bar.

Comment from Pattaya-Live, June 2013: Thumbs Up

Counted 11 girls, only 2 playing with their phones. A couple of customers, nice atmosphere, thumbs up

Review from Billy Baht, January 2013: Good and Bad

Very nice bar, well appointed, clean and air conditioned.

My visit was around 8 pm and I was promptly waited on and received a cold San Mig Lite at a very reasonable 59 baht.

I ordered another beer and the girl asked me for a lady drink. I politely declined and she sapped Pai leury keeneoaw! Get out cheap charlie! I pretended not to notice and ignored her. Another girl came over I bought her a lady drink and was tempted to take her short time, but truth be told, the comments from the little bitch put me off, so I check binned and left.

Pity management has spent so much to equip a very nicely laid out bar but then allow some girls to abuse customers.

News June 2012: Late Happy Hour

The bar has bottled beer at 39 Baht and lady drinks at 69 Baht from 8pm until close. However the lady drink offer is limited to sniff of beer. A more substantial lady drink is 120 Baht. Barfines are 500 Baht LT, 300 Baht ST.

Review from Pattaya Secrets , August 2010: Nice lookers

Good decor and good pizza. and the 15 girls are the best looking on the dark side.

Review from Pattaya Secrets , March 2010: Nice lookers

Plenty of girls some real nice lookers. The place is done out very well.

AUSA Bar

Corner of Soi Khao Noi and Soi Khao Talo

USABAR become AUSA Bar in early 2015. Closed by June 2015.

Balloon Bar

Soi Khao Talo

Balloon Bar became Boom Boom Bar in 2017.

Bamboo Bar

Soi Boonsampan (Soi Khao Noi)

Bar and beergarden. Last noted in September 2014. Now Angels Place

Banana Bar

Soi Khao Noi
(near Sukhumvit Road)

Now Mango Bar, see below

The Barking Frog

Soi Siam Country Club
(the very last bar at the eastside of Mabprachan Lake)

Beer bar and restaurant.

Review from Dick Farang, August 2014: The Last Bar

The Barking Frog is the very last bar at the eastside of Mabprachan Lake, off Soi Siam Country Club.

The nearest bar further on, if you continue some five kilometres along the northern side of Mabprachan Lake, is the White Oyster Bar.

When I arrived some Thai men were drinking Thai spirits and soda outside and some Thai children were playing. I found this rather disturbing, but after this expedition to the Dark Side's Ushuaia, I urgently needed a pit stop.

The Barking Frog is a rather primitive building with a bar area at the left side and a restaurant or rather a snack bar at the right side.

Inside the bar were a forty year old girl who was friendly enough and three younger lazy McDonald's creatures. As is popular at the Dark Side, they were playing music from YouTube.

For those interested: barfine 300 baht, no ST rooms.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht.

Bee Bar

Soi Khao Talo
(Tesco end)

Beer bar noted in September 2014 but closed by February 2017.

Beer and Coffee Bar

Soi Khao Noi

New in 2010. Still going in 2014. The bar didn't impress an early customer who got a stream of abuse after pointing out a small overcharge. But otherwise clean and offer very cheap drinks, no girls though.
Bee's Nee's Bar

Soi Khao Noi

Beer bar noted in September 2014. It is located near the end of Soi Khao Noi, more or less opposite Angels Place (previously Bamboo Bar). Became the Jolly Crow by February 2017
BFT

Soi Kaotalo

New owners in Autumn 2012. Previously Pioneer and Camel bars. Now closed

Billabong Bar

Soi Siam Country Club
(east of lake)

Spotted in September 2014

The Bird Cage

Soi Khao Talo
( upper end of Soi Khao Talo on the corner of Soi 13 )

Beer bar, still going in September 2014.

Review from jj, May 2011:

Bird Cage thankfully did not follow the lead of the movie of the same name. All 7 of the staff seemed to be the real thing although one was questionable.

Newly open in April 2011, not much happening as yet. Has seating for only about 10 punters at bar and two tables. Pool table takes up most of the floor space. Should consider putting a sofa against the back wall.

Ladies were friendly (LD 80 baht) if a bit over the hill. Of course, often with age comes experience but hopefully not boredom. The two gals playing pool were totally inept so it seems that a punter could make a few points if he knows his way around a table.

Discreet location could be a plus as soon as they find their niche. Off road parking in rear. ST room(s) upstairs.

Birdy Bar

Soi Sian Country Club

Now closed
Black Angels Bar

Soi Nern Plab Wahn Soi 31 (Soi Lablae)

Shophouse bar. Changed hands in March 2015. Closed by May 2015. Re-opened in Jun 2015 but now a Thai bar

Black Bush Bar

Sukhumvit: Soi Nern Plab Wern (eastwards from junction near opposite Pattaya Klang)

Beer bar noted in September 201, closed by March 2016.
Black Hole

Soi Pattanakan
(Connecting Soi Nernplabwan and Soi Kao Talo about 3.5lm from Sukhumvit).

Took over from Titty Twister in 2012. Not really a girls bar but does have a couple of waitresses. Still going in September 2014.

News from Dick Farang, June 2016: Closed

The Black Pearl Bar

Soi Chaiyapornwithi
(at the northern side of Mabprachan Lake)

short time bar which took over from White Oyster Lounge in 2017. Closed by 2023
Black Pearl Bar

Short time bar. Became Titties and Beer but closed in 2012. Now the White Oyster
Black Pearl 2 Bar

Siam Country Club Road

Short time bar now defunct

The Black Sheep

Soi Khao Noi
(eastern end)

New Zealand owned bar. New for 2009. Changed hands in mid 2012.

Free pool table and bottled beers around the 50-60 mark. Plenty of girls most days and can be fun in the bar.

Review from Dick Farang, August 2014: Sporadically ST

The Black Sheep is the last bar on the left hand side of Soi Khao Noi before the entry gate of Wat Bunyasamphan when coming from Sukhumvit Road.

Before I had never seen interesting or interested girls there, but this time there was a threeholer, Mam, who had worked at German owned Ying Bar on Soi Lablae off Soi Nern Plab Wahn. She was 35 years old and not particularly beautiful and had her back full of Buddhist tattoos, but she knew how to deliver the goodies and seemed to really enjoy her job.

Barfine (including the ST room) was 300 baht.

The ST room on the first floor was very spacious with also a sofa in it; the bathroom was separate. I think there was another ST room on the second floor, but as at most bars at the Dark Side ST rooms seem to be used only very sporadically.

I think that most punters only come for drinking beer and playing pool.

Bottled Heineken was 50 baht (happy hour).

Note March 2014: Evenings only

The bar seems to be lacking any girls in the afternoon

Review from jj, April 2013: The Exception to the Rule

Just before Songkran, the Darkside seemed to be suffering a slowdown with many ladies returning home for the festival.

The exception was BLACK SHEEP on Soi Khao Noi. There seemed to be a full complement of ladies and they were working hard to please the steady stream of customers.

Word must be passing about that this is the place to be in these pre-Songkran days. A tip of the hat to the ladies there.

News from inpattayanow.com March 2013: Back to Business

Some while ago a sale had been agreed but it dropped through with courts getting involved. The upshot is that Black Sheep is now back in the possession of the original Kiwi owner, Paul.

The bar has been completely refurbished and an entirely new staff has been employed. Business has apparently been brisk since then.

News from John, July 2012: Not Happy

The bar has just changed hands, everything was great till I got the check bin and they had overcharged me. I pointed this out in a good way. It took three attempts to get it corrected and I didn't even hear an apology.

I have been there many times in the past and 4 times this month I left the usual 20 baht tip, not happy, I sat with two ladies who I bought two drinks each. I gave them 100 baht tip to share and they weren't happy either. I will go somewhere else.

News June 2012: Closed due to a legal dispute

The girls have moved to Kik bar

Black Swan Bar

Soi Khao Noi
(opposite Soi Khao Noi Soi 9)

Angel Bar Beer became Black Swan Bar by January 2016.

Update from Dick Farang, February 2018: Prices

Their price for an ST bar fine (room included) is still 350 baht. A still water is 45 baht and a non-alcoholic lady drink (pineapple juice on the rocks) is 100 baht.

Update from Dick Farang, November 2017: Prices

At Black Swan Bar on Soi Khao Noi, bottled Heineken is 85 baht now and the ST barfine (room included) 350 baht; lady drinks (also Singha Light et al.) are still 120 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, January 2016: Dirty Duck

Angel Bar Beer on Soi Khao Noi opposite Soi 9 has changed hands once again and has become Black Swan Bar.

The music was a bit loud for a closed beer bar and of the four girls I saw, two were totally uninterested.

Barfine 300 baht ST. The ST room upstairs is no longer used, but they do have a not particularly cosy, free room about 100 metres up the soi.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht, lady drinks 120 baht.

Blue Cat Bar

Soi Khao Talo

New bar for 2012. Ownership connections with Papagayo. Barfines 300 ST, 500 LT. Beers are 70 Baht and lady drinks are 100 Baht. Seems to be building up the customers in 2013. Still going in September 2014. Blue Cat Bar became Pacha in October 2014.

News from Ishi, October 2014: Now Pacha

Blue Cat Bar became Pacha in October 2014.

Review from Dick Farang, October 2014: Beware

BEWARE: Last time I visited Blue Cat Bar on Soi Khao Talo Soi 9 there were only ladyboys inside, with the exception of the cashier that is.

I will never understand the rationale behind creating confusion by hiring girls and transvestites at the same bar (such as their neighbours KiK and USABAR also do) or gogo (such as Miami A-GoGo on Soi Post Office and We Are No 1 A-GoGo in Jomtien).

Bottled Heineken 80 baht.

Blue Moose

Soi Khao Noi Soi 9

Beer bar with non-takeway girls. Nicely kitted out, good aircon and seems to be a meeting bar for golfers. Still going in August 2016.

Comment from Dick Farang, August 2016: Unsuitable

This bar is as boring as it can get. Not suited to horny farangs.

Boom Boom

Soi Khao Noi

Now sold and has become Welcome Inn

Boom Boom Bar

Soi Khao Talo

Balloon Bar became Boom Boom Bar in 2017 which soon became ONE BAR, see below.

Boom's Bar

The Booze Lounge

Soi Khao Talo
(1km from Sukhumvit)

1pm-1am

boozeloungepattaya.com

Aircon bar and gentlemen's club. New in summer 2013. Ownership connections with Infinity A-GoGo.

Review from Dick Farang, November 2015: Another Fine Mess

The Booze Lounge on Soi Khao Talo is only a shade of its former self.

The bikini girls have long gone.

At my latest visit there were some cigarette smoking Brits and a couple of unattractive, stand-offish hostesses , only interested in lady drinks served in small liqueur glasses.

During most of my working life I have had to tolerate cigarette smoking colleagues. I wonder why I would waste time and good money now on breathing polluted air.

I doubt if the owners have got the right business acumen as they have had to give up already The Booze Lounge on Soi Buakhaow and Oscars gogo on Soi LK Metro.

Bottled Heineken still 85 baht, Chang and Leo 40 baht during happy hour.

Review from Dick Farang, July 2014: The Booze Flooze

On the Dark Side Booze Lounge is located on the left hand side of Soi Khao Talo when coming from Sukhumvit Road, between the main entrance and the secondary entrance of Eakmongkon Project 4, more or less opposite Soi 12.

In fact this double shophouse is a part of the latest development of Eakmongkon Project 4 along Soi Khao Talo.

It is a nice kind of gentlemen's club with a black-and-white Laurel and Hardy/Charlie Chaplin theme.

(Earlier this year Booze Lounge opened a subsidiary on Soi Buakhaow and they also appear to be linked to Oscars on Soi LK Metro.)

Most girls used to be rather chubby in not very inspiring black-and white dresses, but now they also have some good-looking girls in black-and-white striped bikinis.

One of those bikini girls, Rose from Surin, is 28 years old, tall (over 1.70 metre) and slim with a very minimal bosom. She was a real sweetheart and told me that she started working at the Booze Lounge one month ago and that she had been a cashier (not going with customers) at Angel Bar Beer on Soi Khao Noi, which she found too raunchy.

The price of the en suite ST rooms (barfine included) was 350 baht for one hour.

In fact these are bedrooms for the live-in girls and in a rather deplorable state for being less than five years old; no light in the bathroom.

Bottled Heineken 85 baht.

I picked up a leaflet for a Booze Cruise . I wonder if this is going to pan out well because some years ago Sapphire Club on Soi 15 off Walking Street organised a girlie cruise and had to cancel it because of trouble with police.

Prices, August 2013: Heineken

Heineken was reported to be 79 Baht a bottle with no Happy Hour deals.

Note from Pattaya-Live , June 2013:

Drinks are reasonable with a Leo low life at 49b and only 40b during happy hour 1 till 6pm. About a dozen girls most of them lookers. 350 for ST room including barfine. 500 Baht takeout.

Brasillia

Siam Country Club Road (8+km from turn off from Suhkumvit)

Previously Black Pearl, became Brasillia in 2009. Became Par 5 Bar in December 2010. Now back to Black Pearl, see above

The Brass Monkey

Soi Nernplubwan
(4km from Sukhumvit)

brassmonkeypattaya.com

New for 2013.

Review from Dick Farang, May 2014: Not Cold Enough

Explored during the heat of the day due to curfew.

The Brass Monkey is a rather spacious bar on Soi Nern Plab Wahn, about 100 metres before the Riverside Bar, also at the right hand side when coming from Sukhumvit Road.

It is owned by a Dutchman from Amsterdam, Jack.

They also sell Dutch and Indonesian snacks, such as gehaktbal and bamischijf .

The bar seems to be popular with Dutch and Belgian expats.

Bottled Heineken was 75 baht.

(I got one extra beer on the house because the owner thought the beer was not cold enough, but for me it was OK.)

There was only one girl who could catch my fancy, but she completely ignored me ... until I left.

Butterfly Bar

60/12 Siam Country Club Road (8km from turn off from Suhkumvit)

Noon-9pm

Free buffet on Tuesdays

Short time bar

Update From Dick Farang, February 2018: Update

At Butterfly Bar off Soi Siam Country Club bottled Heineken is 85 baht now and the ST bar fine (room included) is still 250 baht.

Lady drink prices depend on what the girl wants: 100 baht for a Spy red, 115 baht for a bottled Leo, etc. I guess it is the normal price for those drinks plus 30 baht for the girl.

News From Dick Farang, October 2017: Update

At Butterfly Bar off Soi Siam Country Club prices have been adjusted.

ST bar fines (room included) are 250 baht now; bottled Heineken and standard lady drinks are 95 baht now.

Still the place to be for MILF threeholers who like threesomes.

Review from Dick Farang December 2015: Valued discretion

Butterfly Bar off Soi Siam Country Club is still doing business as usual and about the cheapest bar on the Dark Side, for barfines and lady drinks that is.

They still open (and close) early and have females in all ages and sizes at a uniform price of 1,000 baht for ST. All of them are freelancers, who seem to value the discretion of the premises. Some of them appear to commute from as far as Rayong.

Barfine (ST room included) still 220 baht (50 baht for the girl).

Standard lady drinks still 80 baht (30 baht for the girl). Bottled Heineken still 80 baht.

Review from Dick Farang August 2015: An extensive menu

At my recent visit at Butterfly Bar off Soi Siam Country Club there were about ten girls and no other customers.

All of them, slim or fat, cute or ugly, young or old expect the same ST fee: 1,000 baht.

Some younger ones (and not necessarily the nicest spinners) seem to ignore older punters. Perhaps they are waiting for a Prince Charming, a Knight in a Shining Armour on a White Horse, but those are few and far between at the Dark Side and probably in most of Pattaya.

Some of the more mature (30+) girls have kept a good figure, complain they have not been shagged for two weeks (true or not) and compete by offering the most complete service you might wish at the same tariff: rimming, bareback, anal, A2M, MFF threesome and MFM threesome. For the last service (aka DP or sandwich) you will need a wingman.

Barfine (room included) still 220 baht.

Standard lady drinks are still 80 baht, special lady drinks such as Spy (pronounce: es-pie) are 100 baht. Bottled Heineken still 80 baht.

Comments from Dick Farang May 2015: 80 baht Lady Drink

Opening hours of Butterfly Bar off Soi Siam Country Club are 12 a.m. (noon) to 9 p.m. If you are horny you better arrive before 8 p.m.

At my latest visit there were a dozen girls in all shapes and sizes, aged between twenty and forty years.

Prices are still the same; the girls get 30 baht for each 80-baht lady drink.

Review from Dick Farang April 2015: The best bargain on the Dark Side

Butterfly Bar off Soi Siam Country Club is still surviving, but very quiet.

When I arrived there were two other customers. There were a couple of oldies and a blonde 22-year-old spinner, Tanya. She had a minimal bosom, a slim body and a very good shape, although she had borne two babies. She was a good girl who did not smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol. She did not have tattoos, but she did have a navel piercing. As she had visited her family and not boom-boom for several days, she was very horny.

She told me she had worked at Superbaby/Supergirl on Soi Diamond for two days, but, although she met the physical requirements to work there, she hated the pressure to have to go with any customer. The majority of bargirls are self-confident and choosy, not wanting to be intimate with somebody they do not like.

Apart from junkies et al., also not many girls will want to work for a service were they are picked from a website or from a photo album. I can understand this very well as I myself have never used a home delivery service such as The Devil's Den on Soi LK Metro and I doubt very strongly if I ever will.

Tanya's tariff was the usual 1,000 baht ST.

The background music at Butterfly Bar was unobtrusive.

Barfine is still 220 baht, room included, probably the best bargain on the Dark Side.

Bottled Heineken still 80 baht and also lady drinks still 80 baht.

Casual

Soi Khao Noi

Beer bar new for 2014. Became Welcome Inn by June 2016

News from Dick Farang, June 2016: Closed

Casual has become Welcome Inn.

Review from Dick Farang: Casually Shy

Casual is on the left-hand side of Soi Khao Noi when coming from Sukhumvit Road.

It is opposite Boutique Resort (whatever that may be) and about 200 metres before The Black Sheep.

It is a modest bar-restaurant serving pub grub with a small food shop, not really a girlie bar.

Although the staff are very friendly, they are also very shy and probably not barfineable.

Bottled Heineken 60 baht.

Chill Bar

Soi Nernplubwan
(Corner Soi 43)

Beer bar

Review from Pattaya Secrets , Sep 2007: Aussie Run

Friendly Aussie run place. A couple of seating pagodas in the front garden, plus seating by the front bar with sensible seat sizes.

There is an outside bar area and an inside aircon area with a brand new Pool/snooker table.

Drinks reasonable at 60 Baht for San Mig Lite for example. Chang 45 Baht , GinTonic 80 Baht , lady drink 90 Baht .

Towards the end of Soi Nern Plab Wahn on the left-hand side and next to Honey Pot Bar is Eight Ball Bar, a broad open beer bar with a pool table and with both girls and ladyboys.

The Empire Lounge

Soi Khao Noi

Review from Dick Farang: Fancyless

Towards the end of Soi Khao Noi, past Angels Place and more or less opposite Soi 17, The Empire Lounge and Restaurant has opened.

This is a very difficult place to park a car. Inside it is spacious and all but a restaurant.

There is a big room with sofas that can be curtained off and appears to serve as a blow job area.

The owner/manager/mamasan is an older Thai woman who used to work at the nearby Pacha Bar.

There were five or six fat and/or old girls, several of them aai maak maak and virtually without any English. The best looking girl was the 33-year-old cashier, who said she had been a lady at Pacha Bar, but was no lady any longer.

I was told the ST bar fine was 300 baht and an air-conditioned room somewhere at the rear was included.

None of the available girls however could take my fancy.

I was also told that, unlike at Pacha Bar, the girls were not allowed to smoke cigarettes inside.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht.

Fabrice Bar

Soi Banlang (aka Soi Siam Country Club Soi 18 and Soi Phon Prapha Nimit Soi 18)

Web Page

Bar associated with Fabrice Hotel and Restaurant

Update from Dick Farang, January 2018:

At Fabrice Bar on Soi Banlang bottled Heineken is still 80 baht and a lady drink (apple juice) 100 baht; ST rooms are 300 baht now (no barfine due).

Review from Dick Farang, February 2017: Middle of nowhere

Fabrice Bar on the corner of Soi Banlang and Soi Banlang Soi 8 is still as dark as ever and the bar stools are still as hard.

This bar seems to increasingly specialise in oldies, who are more interested in playing pool than in "the real thing".

The ST rooms (in fact rather nice en suite "standard" hotel rooms) are 320 baht now, "no barfine".

On my latest visit (still in "high" season) I had the impression they even did have some real hotel guests, as I saw an elderly farang woman in the swimming pool.

I wonder however who, in their right mind, would want to spend their holidays in that dusty middle of nowhere.

Bottled Heineken still 80 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, April 2015: No smoking

Nothing has improved since my previous visits to Fabrice Bar on the corner of Soi Banlang (aka Soi Siam Country Club Soi 18 and Soi Phon Prapha Nimit Soi 18) and Soi Banlang Soi 8.

The swimming pool was deserted and inside the lounge were a huge, dark cashier and three girls, two fat ones and one half-decent one.

The latter one was 28 years old, did smoke cigarettes, but did not want to smoke big cigar , was not overly enthusiastic and expected 1,500 baht for ST boom-boom .

Fabrice Bar also has a pizzeria to the right of the building. If you want you can order some grub from there and consume it in the darkness of the lounge. On Tuesdays they seem to have a buffet at 100 baht.

ST room ( no barfine ) 250 baht.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, April 2014: A Strange Mood

Not far from Aqua Deymie is French owned hotel and bar, Fabrice.

At this bar I always feel in a strange mood. Most girls are in their thirties and the younger ones completely ignore older punters. The bar is rather spacious and the girls are walking in and out all the time leaving an empty feel.

Fabrice is located on Soi Banlang (aka Soi Siam Country Club Soi 18 and Soi Phon Prapha Nimit Soi 18.

Flintstone

Soi Kao Noi

Aircon bar returned after a spell as Route 69. Dark in December 2017.

Review from Dick Farang, December 2015: Yabba Dabba Don't

On Soi Khao Noi, in the double shophouse where Route 69 used to be, Flintstone Bar has opened.

Apart from a new sign and some Flintstones pictures nothing seems to have changed. The unused narrow stage with chrome poles, which separates the first part from the second, is still there.

I saw four working girls: a 20-year-old spinner who was too shy for any activity, another young one who was skinny in an unhealthy way, a slightly older one with a good shape whom I would have liked to vet, but who had suddenly disappeared, and a huge creature saying he/she/it wanted to take it up the arse.

The empty spaces in the middle did not contribute to an intimate feel. The manager roaming the place all the time did not help either. Unsurprisingly I was the only customer.

One more who is going to bite the dust. At least no money was wasted on a refurbishment.

Bottled Heineken 70 baht, 50 baht during happy hour.

Beer bar

Review from Dick Farang, March 2017: Secret Moons

Full Moon Bar is a single-unit shophouse on the left-hand side of upper Soi Khao Talo, between The Bird Cage and The Secret (previously Happy Moon's Bar).

It used to be an open-fronted bar, but last year it was closed with see-through windows.

It shares a (muddy) car park behind the buildings with its neighbours.

Full Moon Bar shares ownership with neighbour The Secret (previously Happy Moon's Bar) and with Full Moon Bar II on lower Soi Khao Talo.

Full Moon Bar II

Soi Khao Talo Prices

At Full Moon Bar II on lower Soi Khao Talo bottled Heineken is 75 baht now and the lady drinks such as Singha Light (apparently very popular with the girls) are 120 baht.

Their ST bar fine of 300 baht now includes a nice and spacious room in a residence behind Tony's Fitness.

Review from Dick Farang, December 2016: Full Moon Rising

In a single-unit shophouse on Soi Khao Talo, left of Krungthai Bank, where once the open-fronted short-lived Check In Beer Bar used to be, a new closed beer bar has opened: Full Moon Bar II.

Whereas many bars on lower Soi Khao Talo open at 4 p.m. or later, this bar already opens at 1 p.m.

At the rear is a (too large) bar counter with some bar stools. On the right-hand side are high tables with bar stools and mirrors on the upper half of the wall. On the left-hand side is bench seating with some low round tables and fake windows on the wall.

Unusual for the Dark Side there is no pool table.

The lighting was rather dim.

The cashier was a bottle-blonde ladyboy.

I saw a couple of girls in the 30-45 age range and rather fat. They appeared to have come from the sister bar Full Moon Bar on upper Soi Khao Talo, right of The Bird Cage.

Contrarily to what the mamasan had told me shortly before the opening, there was no ST room.

I am not going back in a hurry.

Barfines 300 baht ST and 400 baht LT, the girls expecting 1,000 baht ST and 2,000 baht LT.

All bottled beers 55-60 baht during happy hour (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.), lady drinks 100 baht.

Update from Dick Farang, December 2017: Prices up

At Lek's Bar & Massage on Soi Khao Talo a bottled Heineken is 80 baht now and a lady drink (bottled Singha) 105 baht.

The barfine is still 300 baht (also for the farm-fresh girls and I guess for the lone ladyboy) and they still do not have ST rooms.

Notes from Dick Farang, March 2017: Cheapest the area

Lek's Bar & Massage is an open-fronted bar on the left-hand side of lower Soi Khao Talo and perhaps the cheapest one in that area.

They do not have ST rooms and I doubt you can get a massage there.

I was told the barfine is 300 baht ST or LT and one girl said she was happy with 1,000 baht also ST or LT.

Bottled Heineken 60 baht, lady drinks 80 baht.

Bar with apartments

Review from Dick Farang, September 2014: Bruin cafe

Lucky Time Bar is a spacious bruin café (cosy traditional Dutch style pub with snacks) owned by Alex from Maastricht (Netherlands) and his Thai wife Nid from Buriram, who has lived in the Netherlands for many years and has acquired the Dutch nationality.

It is on the right-hand side of Soi Nern Plab Wahn when coming from Sukhumvit Road, about 200 metres past the petrol station.

Although it is Dutch owned most customers appear to be British.

It is not really a place to pick up a barfine.

They have rooms at 500 baht per night.

Bottled Heineken 70 baht.

Review from Thai Visa , March 2008: Darts and Pool Teams

The bar has Darts and Pool teams, both of which participate in the Pattaya leagues. If you are after a quiet game of pool/darts etc. and want a relaxed (no bar girl scene) friendly atmosphere in which to have a few beers (its safe to take the missus as well) then it is hard to beat.

Review from Pattaya-Live , Jan 2008: Semi Conscious

Sure is a nice bar, friendly staff, good pool table and 50 Baht Tiger.

Cashier is a looker and loads of fun. Breakfast very good value.

Just a shame you go out out for breakfast and go home several hours later semi conscious

Review from Alex, Aug 2007: Lucky Find

The Lucky Time Bar is a haven away from the madness of the major soi's. Owned by a Dutchman named Alex and his wife, they welcomed us and treated us as friends and not just customers they helped make me and my friends holiday

This is a family orientated bar frequented by Expats from all over the world, It is well run and the perfect place to have a relaxed drink with family or friends. The Bar is well airconditioned and has Pool/Darts and Table Football to play, the friendly girls are more than happy to thrash you at the game of your choice.

The food served is fantastic and very well priced as is the beer 60 baht for an ice cold Singha (miss it already)

The girls are a really friendly bunch and there is no nicer feeling than to come down in the morning and be greeted by your name

The Apartments are spacious and very well presented and you have both aircon and a fan all are ensuite with daily cleaning service and towel exchange and most importantly inexpensive

A previous review stated there were no short time rooms this is really not that sort of bar. You are more than welcome to take ladies back to the bar for a drink or to your room

I will definitely be stopping here again next year.

Review from Pattaya Talk , February 2006: Nice Bar, Nice Girls

Previously Ying Bar

Review from Dick Farang, September 2017: MacGirls

Mac’s Bar on Soi Lablae is still as worn out and as deserted. Mac is still “spying” from behind the counter and her German husband/sponsor posing as a “customer”.

Apart from the usual fuglies there is now also a 23-year-old skinny girl, Ann. I did not notice ladyboys any longer.

Barfine is 200 baht now (ST I guess) and they suggest you go to the nearby motel.

Bottled Heineken still 80 baht, ordinary lady drinks 110 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, May 2015: MacShort

Mac's Bar on Soi Lablae now has an arrangement with the nearby 24 Hr. motel. A ST 400-baht barfine now includes a 200-baht room at the said motel.

There were a number of average girls now, late twenties and thirties, and also some ladyboys.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, October 2014: With a little imagination

Ying Bar on Soi Lablae (aka Soi Nern Plab Wahn 31, etc.) has become Mac's Bar.

It is still German owned; Mac is the name of the current owner's wife.

As to the interior not much (if anything) has changed and it is still as worn as before, but when it is empty your nose is rubbed in it much more.

They appear to offer some snacks now.

I was the only customer and their only girl inside was a 42-year-old fatty.

This venture looks like one more recipe for disaster.

Barfine (room included) is 300 baht.

Bottled Heineken is still a steep 90 baht (60 baht during happy hour from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.).

Review from Dick Farang, July 2017: Star makeover

Between Soi Khao Noi and Soi Nern Plab Wahn, on the edge of two incorporated (rather neglected) villages, New Dao Bar/New Dao Café/New Dao Resto has opened at the location where Dao Bar/Café closed over half a year ago.

The village on the Soi Khao Noi side has its entrance about 100 metres before Le Rouge when coming from Sukhumvit Road.

There is a 7ELEVEN minimarket on the corner.

The village on the Soi Nern Plab Wahn side has its entrance about 100 metres before the petrol station when coming from Sukhumvit Road.

The layout of the restaurant, swimming pool and bar has remained unchanged: the girlie bar can still be accessed via the restaurant or via the back alley.

On my visit I only saw freelancers around the forty-year mark, some of them fat. I did not see ladyboys this time.

I happened to be their only "real" customer as the other farang inside had come with his Thai wife for playing pool.

They still have ST rooms included in the 300 baht barfine.

I was told the current owner is a short fat Belgian.

They appear to sell several Belgian beers, including Tripel Karmeliet on draught at 150 baht for a small glass.

Be aware that Belgian special beers have an alcoholic content higher than that of the local produce.

I advise buying Belgian quality beers, such as Kwak, Tripel Karmeliet, Westmalle Tripel or Duvel, at Friendship Supermarket or BigC (from memory 170-180 baht per 33 cl. bottle) and sample them at home.

The New Dao guest house rents out rooms from 590 baht per night.

I did not try their restaurant, but the one at the old Dao was disgusting and too expensive, as about any "restaurant" on the Dark Side.

New Dao Bar opens from 1 p.m. till midnight.

Bottled Heineken 85 baht, lady drinks 119 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, September 2014: Thai style karaoke

Nid Bar is on the left-hand side of Soi Nern Plab Wahn when coming from Sukhumvit Road, more or less opposite Happy Time Bar, not to be confused with Lucky Time Bar.

It is a Thai style karaoke that also welcomes farangs.

They only have big beer bottles and offer ice cubes with the beer.

When I was hardly seated a customer showed me a white substance he tried to sell.

I decided to leave without consuming.

In my opinion a place to avoid.

New for November 2017.

Review from Dick Farang, November 2017:

In a single-unit shophouse on Soi Khao Noi, halfway between Mango Pub and Black Swan Bar, a new bar has opened: Nings Orange Bar.

It is a brightly lit bar with transparent windows and the walls painted in white and orange.

There were three or four average girls, some of them coming from the Mabprachan area.

Barfine 300 baht ST and 1,000 baht to the girl.

The bar's facilities are on the ground floor only and there are no ST rooms.

Bottled Heineken 75 baht.

Review from Dick Farang, November 2014: Old Blue Cat

On Soi Khao Talo Soi 9, about three kilometres from Sukhumvit Road, Pacha has opened at the location that was Blue Cat Bar before, next to KiK Bar.

For the location of bars on the Dark Side this map , albeit not always 100% correct and up to date, can help.

Pacha appears to be French owned.

Not much, if anything, has changed inside.

Not many girls and no top models at all, but thank goodness no ladyboys this time.

An old girl was very horny and wanted to go upstairs for a mere 500 baht.

ST rooms at 300 baht, barfine included.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht.

Suhkumvit: Soi Khao Noi (Soi Boonsampan)

News from Dick Farang, September 2017: Paradise Relocated

Paradise has moved from Soi Khao Noi to the same neglected village that also houses New Dao Bar/New Dao Caf39.

It is located in a corner opposite the RESIDENCES (a hotel ?) that have filled a big hole that has been there for many years.

I saw only an old fatty inside and I could not be arsed to stay for a drink.

Review from Dick Farang, June 2014: Fun in the Bar

On Soi Khao Noi I revisited Paradise bar.

There were 9 or 10 girls in their thirties, most of them overweight, but polite enough.

At the right side they have a counter behind which punters can get a bj at 200 + 500 baht.

I was told a full service in a ST room upstairs is 300 + 1,000 baht and a LT takeaway barfine 400 baht.

Bottled Heineken 70 baht.

News June 2013: Police

The bar seems to have taken a hit from the licensing police.

News from jj January 2013: A Change of Management

The old Paradise Bar closed on 5th of December 2012. But it is now under new management and will re-open with a party on 2nd January 2013 at 2pm. Many new ladies are promised.

Post-opening update:

The new and improved PARADISE is up to 7 ladies; looking promising.

From Pattaya-Addicts June 2010: Fun in the Bar

5 or 6 girls available for fun in the bar but not quite top notch. Reasonably priced drinks

From Pattaya Today: Night March, Nov 2008: Busy

Its entrance is unpre-possessing but once inside punters must surely be reminded of a standard Soi 6-like den.

It has added a pool table, but games are free for customers. While there were only seven or eight ladies working, they were a typically friendly lot of knob fondlers. Of the four places I visited, Paradise was easily the busiest in terms of bums on seats.

Soft drinks are just 30 baht and lady drinks good value at only 80 baht. Bottled amber goes off at a mere 50 baht during a 6:00 to 7:00PM happy hour.

Soi Siam Country Club Peet Bar Review from Dick Farang, December 2014: Primitive

Peet Bar is the last but one bar along the eastern bank of Mabprachan Lake, off Soi Siam Country Club. It is several hundred metres past Ice Star and several hundred metres before The Barking Frog.

If there were a championship for the most primitive bar at the Dark Side they would win hands down, which is a notable achievement.

It is owned by a Thai couple and is named for their 27-year old daughter Peet. Apart from the owners, their daughter, their grandson and their dogs there were also a ladyboy and two older girls.

Strangely enough they did have some customers.

I could not be bothered to enquire about barfines.

Review from Dick Farang, February 2017: Old Pussy

Half a century after Tom Jones's song What's New Pussycat? Pussy Cat Bar Beer on Soi Nern Plab Wahn is in complete decline.

At my latest visit the front door and the curtains were wide open.

I saw two old fatties and also two Thai boys playing pool.

In the toilet the washbasin was torn down.

Review from Pattaya-Addicts , July 2010: Best on the Dark Side

Without a doubt the best bar on the Dark Side is Pussy Cat Club. The bar itself is very tastefully done out in white leather chairs & booths, as well as some tables & chairs. The surroundings are fabulous, the bar staff very good and the ladies are excellent.

If you buy a lady drink, the bill shows the normal drink price + 30 baht for the lady.

Customers flock to this bar because of all the good features mentioned.

Review from Pattaya-Live , Sept 2008: Bit out of the way

Owned by a happy going Italian and his luvly wife, who are not shy throwing drinks at you.

Very large and spacious bar. Pool table and a largish sitting area. 6-8 girls, some quite tasty and 3-4 lady boys, who are performing dances on the upper balcony. Decent music and mostly busy late.

Review from Pattaya Talk , Nov 2007: A Bunch of Time

This is a newer looking bar with some very nice ladies. I spent a bunch of time here and enjoyed the company. Reasonable prices and cold beer. If you can handle the ladyboys here (and they stayed away) this is a nice place to spend some time.

Review from Pattaya Secrets , Sep 2007:

Italian owned bar is a double shophouse. A pool table is available, seating and decoration is simple but tasteful.

About 6 girls are currently working, some of them eyecandy. Also 2 not so beautiful katoeys working.

Gin Tonic was 90 Baht, too much for the Dark Side. No short time rooms available.

Review from Dick Farang, August 2015: Blue goes green

At the previous location of Belgian-owned Supatta Café on Soi Nern Plab Wahn is now English-owned Queen Vic Guesthouse.

The bar downstairs is air-conditioned with closed doors. The blue pool table has been replaced by a traditional green one.

The four rooms upstairs are all air-conditioned now.

In the afternoon there are some freelancers, but if there are no punters they leave and try their luck elsewhere.

As all rooms upstairs are rented out there is no ST room available.

All bottled beers all day long 60 baht only.

Red Lion Pub & Restaurant

Sukhumvit: Soi Khao Noi (corner of Soi 13)

From 11am to 10pm

Pub & restaurant with no hostesses.

News from Dick Farang, August 2015: Open for business

As of August 2015, Red Lion Pub & Restaurant on Soi Khao Noi appears to be open for business.

Review from Pattaya Today, April 2007:

Seating is comfortable and cosy in the forefront with a dining room to the left and a huge bar at the rear where drinkers can sit and watch the big-screen TV.

The Red Lion has a leisurely opening at 11.00 am when the full range of the pub’s breakfasts and morning snack foods can be enjoyed. The big breakfast comes with unlimited tea or coffee and doubles up on everything, i.e sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, masses of baked beans, all the works. It costs B.150 for a Fred Flintstone start to the day with a smaller one for Wilma at B.110.

Lots of traditional English options on the menu including: sausages & mash, fish ‘n chips, scampi, and home-made fish cakes, chicken tikka masala. There’s a special kid’s menu evoking childhood memories with offerings of fish fingers, chicken nuggets or sausages with chips and beans to please the juniors. The Thai menu is huge presenting 86 dishes.

Review from jj, May 2006: Restaurant & Pub

Not long after opening, I asked the owner (Adrian) if it was a bar that served food or a restaurant that served alcohol.

He said he had aimed for the former but seemed to have achieved the latter.

Food was quite good for a while then a change of cooks and an increase in prices ran him off my list of restaurants, ie portions and taste not up to the price.

Review from Pattaya Secrets , May 2006: No Girlies

About 200 yards after Pattaya Hill Village, on left hand side. large English type bar. inside and outside dinner areas. Pool table. No girlies. popular with Brits who live in the Moobans around it. Food quite expensive for the location.

Review from Pattaya Secrets , June 2010: Nicely decorated

I was pleasantly surprised. Nicely decorated bar which seems to cater for bikers. A pool table outside, 2 Vespas as decoration inside, a couple of guitars hanging on the wall. There is food available.

Beer around 65, LD 95 Baht. Unfortunately no ST rooms on the premises.

Pizza on Wednesdays and buffet on Sundays, free to regulars.

Review from Pattaya-Live , Nov 2008: Taking Care

The bar is really nicely done out, not too many girls at the moment but the ones that were there certainly were not ugly and they were willing to take care much the same as in Soi 6.

On the corner of Soi Banlang (aka Soi Siam Country Club Soi 18 and Soi Phon Prapha Nimit Soi 18) and Soi Banlang Soi 12 a new bar has opened: The Scrapyard Bar.

In the outside section are a bar with bar stools, a pool table and some tables with chairs were the girls were sitting, "eating".

At 6.30 p.m. it was still hot outside. In the inside air-conditioned section are a bar with bar stools, some high tables also with bar stools and some sofas with coffee tables.

I talked with a 22-year-old very solid girl without children who had been working there for a month. She spoke very little English, was very "shy" and did not want to "smoke" or to "boom boom".

One other customer.

Bottled Heineken 80 baht.

At the location on Soi Khao Noi Soi 9 where The Duke's Lounge and Golden Gate Bar used to be, Sinner Lounge has been opened by the people from Som Bar.

Nothing seems to have changed.

The sub-average girls were lazily sitting outside. The MILF who followed me inside spoke very little English and was aai maak maak (very shy).

Stars Bar

Soi Khao Talo

Beer bar

Review by Dick Farang, December 2016: Stars out of reach

On Soi Khao Talo Stars Bar has changed hands once more. It is Canadian owned now.

Most of the females there are wives/girlfriends of farangs now who do not want boom boom, but who still do want farang money. There are no longer ST rooms upstairs anyway.

A complete waste of time and money. Unsurprisingly this bar is mostly deserted.

For those interested: there is again a pool table taking up most of the space.

Bottled Heineken 70 baht, lady drinks (small cognac balloons containing Singha Light) 120 baht (most expensive on Soi Khao Talo, where the norm is 80-100 baht).

Review by Dick Farang, July 2015: Annie is the new Nok

After three months under her ownership, Nok had to stop operations at Stars Bar on Soi Kao Talo, the rent (20,000 baht for a single-unit empty shell) being way too steep. One month later Stars Bar was reopened by a short fatty, Annie, who says she pays the same excessive rent.

There were two rather chubby, but friendly girls around the 20-year mark.

Barfine 300 baht ST, the girls expecting 1,000 baht ST.

The owner Annie said the ST rooms were not yet ready/cleaned.

Bottled Heineken 70 baht, lady drinks 100 baht.

Review by Dick Farang, April 2015: New Stars

The previous owner of Stars Bar on Soi Kao Talo has returned to England.

It is now owned by Nok, a 40-year-old single mom from Korat, who has been a farmer and a supervisor in a factory and said she herself also liked boomboom.

She has thrown out the pool table that occupied most of the bar area.

There were two 20-year-old girls, a very fat one who said she wanted to take it up the arse and a shy skinnier one. Nok said she wanted to import more talent from her village in Korat and she even mused on changing the bar's name into Korat Bar. The oldest of her three daughters is 20 years old and works factory , does not want to work bar .

They still have rooms on site.

I jokingly told Nok she should pay me 2,000 baht, so that I could spend 1,000 baht on each of the girls.

Barfine ST 300 baht. I had to convince Nok not to charge 200 baht extra for the room.

Bottled Heineken 70 baht from 65 baht before.

News from Dick Farang, January 2015: Closed

Stars Bar closed in January but re-opened by February

Review by Dick Farang, October 2014: New Star

Stars Bar is a single-shophouse bar on the left-hand side of Soi Khao Talo, halfway between the Booze Lounge and Mini Bar and opposite the old market.

The British owner insists on playing music of the customer's choice.

The seating inside around the pool table is rather cramped.

When I arrived there were a fat girl, a new 18-year old girl and a chubby, but funny and available cashier.

The young girl who had started the same day was shy and not into bedroom sports at all. She was completely unshaven and did not look like Pattaya material and I think she will be back on her way to her native Buriram very soon. Later on the fatty told me that girl was still a virgin, never having had sex with her Thai sweetheart.

Shortly before I left I saw a cute girl coming down the stairs with a punter.

Barfines 300 baht ST (room included).

Bottled Heineken 65 baht.

Restaurant

News from Dick Farang, March 2017: Intermittent

The restaurant Suggestions on Pattanakan Road near Soi 4 seems to open intermittently.

Review from Dick Farang, December 2015: A Suggestion

On Soi Pattanakan (the extension of Soi Nern Plab Wahn Soi 28; stress on the last syllable), just behind the corner from Jungo Bar, is a Belgian-owned restaurant: Suggestions.

To be honest, I was all but impressed.

The good thing was that I could park in the shade of some trees as there were no other cars on the car park. You have to walk around the building to find the entrance.

The first thing that struck me when I entered were the clumsy violet chairs with high backs.

The only other customers were an elderly, probably British, couple.

The waitresses were not too friendly and the tablecloth not too clean, but I always care the most about what I find on my dish.

The lobster bisque (170 baht) was the worst one I have eaten in my whole life, even compared to those at the tourist traps of Walking Street.

The salmon steak (395 baht) was nouvelle cuisine style: a very big dish with a very small piece of salmon on top of some strange mashed potato mix and some morsels right and left.

(Forty years ago nouvelle cuisine was fashionable , say snob. I thought it had died a silent death, but I must be wrong. I would not be surprised if it were still served in Michelin-star restaurants. I have known people who saved a month or longer to go and dine at a posh restaurant, whereas me I always have preferred to eat decently each day of the month and that three times a day.)

I did not see the owner.

I do not know what kind of ingredients they used at Suggestions, but the next day I still had a dirty taste in my mouth.

They also have a budget weekly special at 295 baht, but I am not going back.

There seems to be a link with restaurant Aroi on Soi Toongklom-Tanman.

(When following the southbound carriageway along the railway the first crossing past Soi Khao Talo is Soi Nongkraborg and the next one is Soi Toongklom-Tanman.)

It is sad that AFAIK there are no decent restaurants left on the Dark Side since the disappearance of Manneken Pis and (the original) Due Café, both on Soi Siam Country Club.

And one final piece of advice: never ever trust TripAdvisor reviews.

Review from Dick Farang, July 2014: Tour Venue

White Horse is a low-rise restaurant on the left hand side of the car park of Eastern Grand Palace Hotel, which is on the crossing of Soi Khao Talo and the railway.

It opens in the late afternoon and is very spacious, but I was their only customer.

I surmise the restaurant is primarily intended for the busloads of (Chinese) tourists who stay at the Eastern Grand Palace Hotel.

They appear to have special prices for three bottled beers if you order them at once.

I doubt if many farangs will go there for more than one beer, if any.

Notes

Pattaya bars most likely to be listed are those that occupy a permanent looking standalone building. Beer bars in complexes will not be listed unless mentioned in dispatches. Gay/Thai/Karaoke bars are not listed due to a lack of expertise in those areas. Gogo bars are listed on a separate page. I have added food reviews but this is not a comprehensive service. I will only list eateries where people have submitted comments

The following reviews are those that I come across on the web, in guide books, from contributors and of course from my own visits. Reviewers may be unreasonably harsh and bar owners may present a rosy picture of their bars...so don't take everything at face value...go and see for yourself. Click on the street name to obtain a map of the bar area.

Previously the notes included guidelines on barfines and asking prices but in recent times these have become less standardised and at the top end it is now more or a less an unbounded negotiation.

And a couple of words of warning:

  • In short time rooms...keep an eye on your wallet to ensure that it stays with you long time.

  • To those with Thai wives, be aware of the motor cycle taxi network used to keep tabs on errant husbands.

If anyone would like to add a review or information please email Dave at [email protected]
