Listing the bars of Pattaya The following reviews are those that I come across on the web, in guide books, from contributors and of course from my own visits. Reviewers may be
unreasonably harsh and bar owners may present a rosy picture of their bars...so don't take everything at face value...go and see for yourself. If anyone would like to add a review or information please email Dave at

Billion Beer bar Pattaya Soi 13/3 ( Soi Pattayaland 1 ) Short time bar. Listing checked in August 2018 Comment from Dick Farang, November
2014: Still Going Billion Beer Bar on Soi 13/3 (Pattayaland 1) still exists, but as I saw only a fatty (one) sitting there I was not inclined to have a beer there.
News Dec 2006: Going Up
Now 600 Baht all in
Review by Swanks, Sept 2006: Best Bargain in Patts Sometimes a bar "Comes into its own" Almost by accident really!
Billion suddenly has been
transformed from a 'no hoper' into a very nice and welcoming watering hole! I do suspect it is more by accident than design, but it really has a lot going for it now!
Drinks are not 'rock bottom' but ok! Lady drinks not anywhere near Walking
street prices! But the policy of just charging 500 baht at the bar for girl and room must make them one of the best bargains in Patts! Tip the girl if you want to but it doesn't seem to be expected and the girls are just as good as anything I
have seen on Soi 6!
The whole place has a nice 'Pub' atmosphere and you can enjoy a relaxing drink at the bar and chat to the 'Chinese' owner and mamasan, and stroke her small dog which often sleeps on the counter! The mutt has an uncanny facial
resemblance to her but don't tell her I said so!
If it gets on your nerves, sort of, give it a bit of a shove! Just tell mamasan it fell! Lands on all 4 paws like a cat! I'm going to get the little sod pissed next week! It's sort of taken
to me now so it should be a laugh!
Enjoy!

Bodega Bar 2nd Road (corner of Soi Post Office) Large open Beer bar. Listing confirmed in August 2018. Large beer bar
always seems to have plenty of girls throughout the daytime hours as well as at night. It often seems that the prettiest of the girls are safely locked away on cashier/bar tending duty. Bar Tale from Lean, December 2010: Happy Customer
In October 2010, I had the distinct pleasure of BF'ing the sweetest, sexiest 19 year old in Pattaya at Bodega bar. They charged an extra 50B. Tall, lean, cute, farm-fresh from Issan... Man, I hit the jackpot, repeated with her for 2
more nights. I'll look for her, if she's still there, on my return to Pattaya in Jan 2011.

Classroom Sports Bar Pattaya Soi 13/4 (Soi Pattayaland 2) From 3pm. Listing confirmed in August 2018. www.classroom1.com Famous as a GoGo,
then a coyote bar, but became a live music bar in March 2017. News January 2017: Construction classes Classroom seems to have made the decision to drop dancing altogether. The current inside bar has been gutted
and builders are producing something new. The bar was subsequently reborn as a live music venue.
Review from Dick Farang, September 2014: 30 year old schoolgirls Classroom A-GoGo on
Pattayaland 2 (Soi 13/4) is a faded glory that I only visit when I happen to be in the neighbourhood during the afternoon and I desperately need a fresh beer in an air-conditioned environment, in other words not very often. The
venue is split into three units now, separated by (sliding) windows and glass doors. The rightmost unit seems to serve as a beer bar with access from the street. The leftmost unit contains two small stages
with chrome poles and some seating but only serves as a passage to the toilets. In the middle unit behind the main entrance, where the action takes place, is a small straight stage with three chrome poles on the right-hand side
and seating on the left-hand side. There were seven dancers of about thirty years old, which was younger than I had expected there. Three of them were on stage and they went on and off stage one at a time.
Their outfits consisted of a black top over a bra, a checked skirt of 30 to 40 centimetres, black stockings with suspenders and stilettos. One of them was wearing a black bolero with a huge red bra under
it. I was the only customer. In-house prices: one lady, one hour: 2,000 baht; two ladies, two hours: 4,000 baht. Bottled Heineken 130 baht (happy hour 100 baht), lady drinks 100 baht
(wine, beer, tequila, etc. 130 baht). What I find strange is that gogos on Soi LK Metro (by police order ?) are not allowed to open before 6 p.m., whereas Classroom on Pattayaland 2, the gogos on Soi Post Office and on Soi Yamato
and probably also Tahitian Queen on Beach Road and Tim Bar Beer on Second Road open in the afternoon.
News March 2013: The bell rings on dancing class There are reports on the Pattaya forums that Classroom
has given up on dancers. The bar now sports a few hostesses, but barfines are maintained at GoGo level.
Review August 2010: Over Classroom A-GoGo has long been banished from the Thai-Anxiety GoGo listings for
wearing way too many clothes. And the girls are still over dressed with the usual Britney Spears attire complete with skirt, knickers, blouse and bra. There were maybe 15 girls in the bar of which 7 were dancing an over long roster. They were
below average but there were a couple of dancers that were attractive enough. On average, a little over aged and over weight. I wonder if letting the girls wear so many clothes may rather attract the girls who need to cover up. The girls seem
friendly and willing to come across for a chat. The draft beer is well over priced at 100 Baht. Surely as a GoGo the bar offers poor value. But the bar seems to have an alternative role as a hangout bar along the lines of TQ1. There seemed
to be quite a few customers having a chat on the high level part of the bar. They were generally chatting amongst themselves and ignoring the dancing.
Review from Malcolm May 2010: Overdressed Can't say much
more than has already been said. Overdressed girls Draught beer B65, ladydrink B125
Review June 2008: Gone Coyote The bar calls itself a gogo but the Thai-Anxiety definition of a gogo is that there should be
dancing girls wearing bikinis or preferably less. This bar no longer qualifies as all the girls wear skirts, knickers, tops and bras. The style is Britney Spears school wear which my provide some recompense for the lack of showing. The dancers
were a little below average. There were about 20 girls in the bar of which 4 or 5 were dancing on stage. The beer price was way above average at 100 Baht for a glass surely smaller than a bottled beer. Strangely the other drinks prices are not so
expensive with most choices being in the 100-120 Baht range. There is a happy hour for afternoon drinkers though until 6pm There were a fair number of customers in the bar so all can't be too bad. But nobody made much effort to get me to stay very
long. I probably had a scowl on my face from the 100 Baht draft beer.
Review by polleke Oct 2007: Consistent The bar seems to be very stable and seems to hang in The bar still remains the same,
although I found an improvement on the line-up since my last visit. There were plenty of average girls and a couple of better looking ones. Not so many customers.
My friends loved the place, especially the schoolgirls outfits. The girls
were very friendly and up for a chat and a bit hands on fun.
Just a well run agogo and one of the longest running ones in Patts.
I myself was remembered by a girl I barfined 7 months ago. Those girls have long memories.

prefered tipple. I was the only one in and realised why when I ordered a Tiger Light, B140.
Review from Malcolm, Jan 2010: No Irish Musi c Called in one afternoon, Beautiful inside, lot of
money been spent. Very quiet. 105 Baht for bottle of Singha, 160 Baht for Bacardi Breezer. Food expensive too. No Irish music. Looked through door 10pm one evening, still quiet, still no Irish music
Review from Pattaya Today : Shuffle Board The interior renovation retains the huge hospitable bar but with more comfy seating, fourteen
TV screens, two pool tables, a new band stand which is the scene for live music Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 8.00 pm till midnight. (Lee Shamrock is also scheduled to perform). The walls are decorated with unique pictures of Celtic
women whose exploits during the Viking invasion became legendary and conferred their reputation as fearsome warriors and romantic heroines. Dicey Reilly's The result is a friendly, contemporary entertainment destination with a laid-back ambiance
and Gaelic vibes. Cat told us that a unique forthcoming attraction will be the arrival of a 5 metre long shuffle board. For the uninitiated (like us) players use broom-shaped paddles to push pucks down a narrow court into the scoring area. The menu features good, honest pub grub with an Irish twist plus a small selection of Thai dishes,

Closed in 2008 and now looks set to become a gogo or club | Haven Pub Pattaya Soi 13 Beer bar Review
March 2006: Hotel Pub In a previous incarnation this was quite a lively bar called the Girl Guides Bar. It then became rather a redundant aircon restaurant associated with the Haven Hotel. It now seems to be a more sedate
hotel pub. No sign of any girls as I walked past but 4 or 5 girls have been reported on the staff.

Hopf House Beach Road (corner Soi Yamato ) Dining, music and German brewhouse without hostesses. Review from
Pattaya Talk May 2007: Bit Expensive I fancied a nice bit of grub one night so I treated me and Missus to a meal in Hopf.
Glad to see it's not a
gay bar anymore. Steak was nice and service excellent. Bit expensive but worth a go and Pizza's and Knuckle ham looked lovely.
From Steve, Nov 2006: Discriminatory Policies I’ve been eating in the Hopf
Brauhaus on Beach Road for four years. The place has an interesting pseudo-gothic interior decoration. The food comes in large portions and is good quality, though hardly gourmet (and they totally overdo the tomatoes in/on just about everything!). The
staff are efficient and mostly quite friendly.
However, I recently took a friend who has a foot deformity there to eat. To cut a long story short, he was denied entry because he didn’t have what they deemed to be ‘proper’
footwear. What did they expect? He can’t wear normal shoes. Anyway, after discussing this with one of the senior waiters that I knew (one of the guys wearing a green jacket), he stood by the doorman’s decision to refuse my friend entry.
I was so damned embarrassed by this. My friend seemed to blame himself for us being refused entry. He was almost in tears as we went off to Pizza Hut to eat. What could I do? It was my stupid idea to take him there as I had always liked the place
before this incident. In spite of the Hopf brauhaus being one of the largest and evidently most prosperous restaurants in Pattaya, it has no wheelchair access either.
So be warned, avoid the place if you have a physical handicap. Personally I
have decided that I will never eat there again, they made me feel so small. Up to you if you want to support a restaurant with these discriminatory policies.
From Jil in Pattaya , June 2006: Italian tenor We
met up with Rick and Da at the Hopf Brewery on Walking Street at 11:00 on Saturday night. Why? Because it is only on Saturdays when one of the owners, Enzo, gets up on stage to sing: Yes, Pattaya's only Italian tenor cum human beat box. He really is
exceptional, and the place just goes wild when he sings.
The Hopf Brewery still has great beer. Order their home-brewed wheat beer and at 11:00, enjoy the show.
Summer 2005: No Smoking Seems popular
with the Asian tour parties probably because this is one of the few bars that don't focus on female companionship. The live band are competent and play the usual pop/rock material but they feature a jazzier treatment than most. The beer is
good but a little expensive. I found the metal detector search on entry a little off putting, it makes you wonder if they have something to fear from protection racketeers or thugs. Maybe they working with a thought to further royal vistors. Smoking is prohibited.

King's Table Soi 13 Review from Malcolm May 2012: Popular bar I think I did the Kings Table on Soi 13 a disservice last time I was here by saying it was more a restaurant than a bar. This
is not true, Its a very nice, busy bar. The 2 German owners are usually about and are friendly and helpful, the girls (not barfineable) are in red uniforms and look very smart. The food in the restaurant is good and you can eat at the bar
if you wish. They have a good barbeque on Saturday evenings.

a water tank plumbed in by one of Thailand's finest, the shower was down the landing, but she more than made up for it. Went back again for a second helping with the same girl. This time went to a different room, en-suite, large, it was good and
so was the service again. B1000 for girl and room. Bottle of Coke B60.

Review from Malcolm, May 2012: Still the nicest toilet in Pattaya Back here in Pattaya after 2 years. One noticeable difference is the

and sexy too. Room rates are good at 400Bt.
News June 2006: News Office The bar hit the headlines as the hideaway for a woman wanted in the UK in connection with trafficking charges.
March
2006: Late at the Office The girls are fun and the bar opens early. The Mamasan's named Arisa and she speaks excellent English. The girls wear black dresses of various style and length with high heels. More conservative
attire than the Soi 6 evening wear, but sexy nonetheless.

From
Pattaya Secrets , Oct 2005: Cutey Most of the girls in front were rather old and not that good
looking. I really didn't expect much as I walked in and they all cheered and the girls in the bars on either side let out a little cry. I sat down and a surprisingly cute little thing kneeled down in front of me and gave me the usual what would you like
to drink. 3 Tigers later I found my nerve to head upstairs still not sure what to expect in the upstairs bar. Walking into the little upstairs bar no one was in there but us, which relieved me. I sat on a bar stool, which as she got into it was a
mistake because the seat top wasn't bolted to the legs and it slid around a lot. I waived her to stop and to head over to the chairs, right at that moment standing there with my hard on another girl walked in to sit behind the counter, I stood there for
a moment confused and the little cutey that I never got her name just pulled me to a seat where she recommenced her incredibly poor blow job. At that moment 3 more girls and 3 really, I mean really old guys walked in with them and they just
dropped trousers without a care. The wrinkly old man sack actually killed my viagra fueled hard on instantly. Knowing there was no way in Hell I was going to blow after that sight. I pulled my pants up. I ran to the counter, paid and got out of there as
fast as I could.
October 2005: 350 Baht for BBBJCIM in upstairs bar. 600 Baht for half hour BJ in private room
2004 from www.PattayaLovers.com
: Warning An interesting (actually scary) situation occurred during my last trip. Like everyone else, I have my our daily routine, which included foot massage, dick massage (Soi BJ) etc...among other things. So one day I
entered pump station and befriended a US airforce pilot on his 3-day break. He was new to the scene and we chatted for a while and ended up choosing a girl each and walked upstairs. We got seated pants down and were being cleaned when I got this
sudden doubt about this 'girl's gender. I wondered out this out loud to him...Before I warned him he has to be careful how he handles the retreat given that we are locked inside a small dark upstairs room (in my case had my passport with me since I had
just cashed my TC, he demanded (although politely) that his lady prove her gender. She proceeded to pull his hand towards her fully covered chest...but both of us were unconvinced. The obvious next demand followed at which point, the Katoey got up, got
hold on the solid ash-tray and hurled it towards me. Yes me! My girl had just begun her act down below and this flying ash-tray in my direction shrunk my dick in a fraction of a second ;-) I ducked, got up and walked backwards (still with my pants
down)...At this point my shocked new-friend held tried to restrain the katoey who was charging angrily towards me with little success. Mind you we were the only two guys in this upstairs dark room. Long story cut short...I managed to shield myself
with this pilot friend, the katoey still trying to 'kill' me. I believe that at the moment since she was unwilling to reason, negotiate (we both offered her several hundred dollars, even thousands but to no avail)...Somehow we managed to get downstairs
still walking backwards until we got to the main bar. At which point I got a little bold and we tried to complain to the mamasan. She did nothing.

News July 2018: Closed The bar doesn't seem to have survived the road works pause and has gone dark.
News May 2018: Re-opened Re-opened after the
road works were completed in April 2018.
Update from Dick Farang, January 2018: Dark WakaWaka has gone dark with a notice explaining that it will be closed until disruption due to road works has finished.
Update from Dick Farang, July 2017: Old Legs Although Pattayaland (with the exception of Boyztown on Soi 13/5) has become a ghost town, a new place, WakaWaka , has opened on Soi 13/4
opposite the entrance of the defunct Obsessions. I cannot remember if that is the same place as the long gone Rodeo Girls or next door. What I do remember is that at Rodeo Girls the stage was against the wall on the right-hand
side with double-tier bench seating on the other side, whereas at the nearby Legs Club the stage was on the left-hand side. Although I liked to have a drink at those two places from time to time, I have never seen a bird there who
could catch my fancy. When I arrived at WakaWaka there was a foul smell on the terrace as if lots of people had being smoking outside. Having a look inside, I saw an empty, low stage with two chrome poles
on the left-hand side and two old fully dressed fatties sitting on the right-hand side. I decided to make a U-turn.

Wonderful Bar 1 Corner 2nd Road and Soi Yamato Happy Hour to 7pm Prices 55 Baht for a Tiger in Happy Hour. Then goes up to 85 Baht after
7pm
Review from Lindsay, Sept 2008: Recommended I Spent many early evenings and some afternoons in Wonderful Bar 1 on the corner of Second Rd and Soi 13/1 during my August 2008 stay drinking bottles of singha
beer for 40 baht. The staff are very friendly and the bar girls arrive at 5.00pm about 25 altogether. Although some are average they are great company. Two bands play every night starting at 6.00pm changing half way during the evening and
both play good music and sound great. This is a very popular bar mostly busy unlike a lot of Pattaya bars. They obviously have a fair swag of local expats drink there regularly and most bars I am sure would envy the business this bar generates.
Recommended and lady drinks are also reasonable at 95 baht and they don’t accept the drink and then bugger off.
Review from Pattaya Secrets , July
2007: Comfortable Start Very relaxing early evening atmosphere with 45Baht Heinekens. The Music is mellow and numerous Fans keep it very comfortable. The girls leave you alone unless you are looking. If you want a low key
comfortable start to the evening this is the perfect place.
September 05: Place to Chill If you want a place to chill , beer 45 baht 5-7pm then 50 baht all night try Wonderful 1. Always a lot of Brits in
there...always my starting point anyways. There is band that generally start at 9pm. Many of the 30 or so girls are acceptable.

Wonderful Bar 2 2nd Road (corner Soi 13 ) Happy Hour to 7pm Beer bar News September 2014: Prices 55 Baht for a
Tiger in Happy Hour. Then goes up to 85 Baht after 7pm
Review from Malcolm, January 2013: Still Wonderful It's a bar that doesn't change much. Even the daytime staff are the same ones as when
I was here last May. Still keeps busy though. The Only difference since your last review are the prices. Up to 7 pm, Leo & Chang 45 B, Singha 50 B and San Mig & Heineken 55 B.
Pretty much the same at Wonderful Bar 1, which has the same prices.
December 2005: Well worth while dropping by in the happy hour ( ie any datime hour until 7pm). The prices are very reasonable.
There is always fun to be had with the the easiest of opening gambits being a challenge to a game of Connect 4. For 40 Baht a daytime drink you can't go too far wrong
October 2005: The centrepiece is a large
bar, in which a dozen or so girls are usually hanging around waiting for a game of Connect 4. The best seats hug the bar, but there are also sofas and outside seating. Service here is fast and friendly, with the girls keen to chat without being pushy.
It's a big bar, so there's never a feeling of being crowded. TV screens hang in each corner. With black walls and bright red and yellow lighting, it has a club-cum-warehouse feel.
To the back of the bar is a pool table and more seating.
July 2005: A great place to have a few 'happy hour' beers in the afternoon and a good last stop place at night before calling it a night. As an extra bonus, several good looking girls available for take out. Their band's are not bad

Yates's Pattaya Soi 13/1 ( Soi Yamato ) Beer bar. Still going in December 2014. Review from Tony, Feb 2008: A Good Local
A really good local beer bar and an ideal place to meet up to start your day or night off. Run by three solid Yorkshire lads who know all the ropes of Pattaya and are more than willing to pass their advice on. If golf's your thing then its even better. They organise golf days and even lay on the mini bus service at a far cheaper rate than going through an agent.
The pub is in a darts league and local matches abound. The rooms upstairs are clean and spacious with satellite TV etc and are ideal if your on a lads holiday. Bar staff are nice and friendly but more
importantly, honest. You can also sort your airport taxi out from the bar. Just ask for Neil, Mick or Eddie. |
Notes | Pattaya bars most likely to be listed are those that occupy a permanent looking standalone building. Beer bars in complexes will not be
listed unless mentioned in dispatches. Gay/Thai/Karaoke bars are not listed due to a lack of expertise in those areas. Gogo bars are listed on a separate page. I have added food reviews but this is not a comprehensive service. I will only list eateries
where people have submitted comments
The following reviews are those that I come across on the web, in guide books, from contributors and of course from my own visits. Reviewers may be unreasonably harsh and bar owners may present a
rosy picture of their bars...so don't take everything at face value...go and see for yourself. Click on the street name to obtain a map of the bar area. Previously the notes included guidelines on barfines and asking prices but in
recent times these have become less standardised and at the top end it is now more or a less an unbounded negotiation. And a couple of words of warning:
In short time rooms...keep an eye on your wallet to ensure that it stays with you long time. To those with Thai wives, be aware of the motor cycle taxi network used to keep tabs on errant husbands.
If anyone would like to add a review or information please email Dave at [email protected]
